The gold ring has a jasper gemstone mounted on a swivel. The cast hoop is of a horseshoe shape, with cup-shaped terminals attached to either end of a gold rod which passes through a perforation in the stone. Both upper and lower faces of the stone are convex. Within the base colour of dark grey and white are brown and white inclusions. The mount is a plain broad band.
